What is a big bang?
A "big bang" is a fandom creation event. Fanfiction writers create a summary of the story they're going to write, and during the Summary Selection Period, artists get to choose which story they'd like to make art for.

Are ships allowed?
Ships are allowed as long as they focus on characters from The Rise of Kyoshi or The Shadow of Kyoshi.
Is NSFW content allowed?
No.
How do I sign up? Can anyone sign up?
We will be releasing Google Forms for creators, beta readers, and pinch hitters to sign up. See our schedule for dates. Anyone of any skill level or experience is welcome to sign up!
Are Discord and Tumblr required to participate?
Yes. We will be communicating through our Discord server and posting our finished works on Tumblr!
Can I join as an artist-writer pair with my friend?
Yes, just be sure to let the mods know.
How will artists, writers, and beta readers be paired?
During the Summary Selection Period, artists and beta readers will select their first, second, and third choices based on an anonymous summary given by the writer. Mods will partner people up based off of this.

Guidelines
WRITER EXPECTATIONS
The minimum word count a writer will be expected to meet is 5,000 words.The work a writer will be completing can be either a one-shot or a multichapter fic as long as it's ready to be published on the posting date.All fics written for this event must be new and unpublished! (It can be a fic you've already written part of if it hasn't been posted.)Works must be centered around at least one character from The Rise of Kyoshi or The Shadow of Kyoshi.No NSFW content will be allowed.No pedophilia, incest, or large age gaps in ships will be tolerated.No whitewashing. "Whitewashing" does include stripping characters of their analogous races and ethnicities in modern AUs.
ARTIST EXPECTATIONS
One full, finished art piece (not including a background if it's an illustration) will be completed to go along with their writer's fanfic. Artists can choose to be assigned to multiple writers, and will be required to complete one full piece for each if you choose to do so.Work can be of any medium.Again, no NSFW content will be allowed.No whitewashing. "Whitewashing" includes making characters paler or giving them white features.
BETA READER EXPECTATIONS
Betas will be able to work with specific writers, or be available to work with any writer who requests help. Betas can choose to be assigned to multiple writers.Betas will look over the fanfic and/or an outline at the writer's request. You will edit or suggest changes that the writer asks you to look for.
PINCH HITTER EXPECTATIONS
Pinch hitters will be contacted on a first come, first serve basis (and may not be contacted at all depending on contributor line-ups).Depending on if/when you're contacted, you will likely have a smaller window of time than other contributors.If you are contacted, you will be expected to meet the requirements of whichever position (artist, writer, beta) that you are pinch hitting for. You will be expected to meet requirements by the posting date, but you will get a one week extension on check-ins.

Mods
Mod sunny/kaya (he/xe)
This is Sunny's first big bang, but he has modded for events like Kyoshi Warrior Net and Mako Week. He is currently reading the first Kyoshi novel!
Mod Mae/Adolin (she/xe)
Adolin has also modded the Haikyuu Managers Big Bang and networks like Kyoshi Net and Korrasami Net. She's read both of the Kyoshi novels and, in Ro's words, thinks murder is okay when Yun does it.
Mod Rey/Ro (he/they/xe)
Rey is currently a mod for the Haikyuu Managers Big Bang and has run several other weeks, events, and nets like PJO Femslash Week and Sukka Net. Rey's read both of the Kyoshi Novels and is a Yun Apologist.
Mod Zey (He/They)
Zey has never run a fandom event before, but is excited to help out with his first big bang! He has read both the Kyoshi novels and revists them regularly to appreciate iconic Yun moments (and to write metas).
